Hi! We know how difficult it is to locate a trusted, experienced Shih Tzu puppy breeder. You really want a cute little Tzu...You've got a bunch of love to give out....But where do you find one? And be sure that the Shih Tzu puppy is healthy, has papers, was raised properly and was bred correctly?

Our list is short for a reason! Only small home breeders whom we have extensively interviewed and have passed our very picky checklist are listed here. You can be sure that the following breeders are experienced, loving, ethical and have unwavering devotion for the Shih Tzu breed.
If you live in a state in which a breeder is not listed, we would suggest that you look to a state that borders you. Some will drive to meet you halfway or make other arrangements to make sure that your puppy arrives to you safely.

Cobb Mountain Shih Tzu
Our passion is to produce Shih Tzu that are as close to the AKC standard as possible and are well-socialized, healthy and free of any genetic problems. We want our Shih Tzu puppies to provide years of love and devotion to their new families.
We are very proud of our adults; they have gorgeous long double coats, short muzzles with no breathing problems, big beautiful soulful eyes and exceptional loving temperaments. Their babies inherit all of these attributes.
The back of our house is dedicated to our Shih tzus. It is heated and air-conditioned for their comfort level.
Puppies come with age-appropriate vaccinations and worming, a health guarantee, several days’ worth of food that they have been eating, and a toy with mommy's scent on it. Registration is limited unless discussed beforehand.

High Point Shih Tzu
High Point Shih Tzu is a small, AKC inspected & approved, hobby breeder of standard size Shih Tzu in various colors. Most of our puppies are sold on limited registration (no breeding rights), but full registration is available to the right home breeder. My puppies and parents have wonderful, friendly, loving personalities. I have several testimonials on my website that can confirm this.
My puppies are raised in my home and are socialized by myself, my husband and my children. They are well on their way to being paper trained, if not completely trained, by the time they head to their new homes. Parents are on premises. Puppies can be seen in person after they have been vaccinated (6 weeks). Until then, I will be happy to email pictures weekly so you can see how your baby is growing.
I am here for the life of your puppy to answer any questions. I love hearing from my new friends and getting pictures to see how the puppies are doing once they leave us.

Males are all DNA tested by the American Kennel Club. This club is the number one registry & have standards that have to be followed. I am in conjunction with those standards & do much more to ensure we have the best, healthy Shih Tzu in our breeding program. We also have 3 licenses and are inspected by the AKC state of New York.
